I was really proud of the way that my senior project went. I was able to get my tractor done on time, no major set backs and costed about what I thought it would cost. Over the last week I have been working on my presentation and binder that shows all the work that I have put into my project. I had to practice present to the class once and then to Mrs. Nightingale once also and I was able to meet my time by flying colors the second time and feel really good about my community presentation and the judged presentation to come this following week.

When I first had to present my senior project to my class I was saying that ooh boy I don't want to do this. In the end I was feeling really good about it because I was only 1 min off of my time limit and my teacher Mrs. Nightingale gave me some pointers on what to do make my presentation better and hopefully I can make my time limit and then I can breath that sign of relief.
When I went over to pick up my tractor I had found out that my radiator had been leaking water since we filled it. As I ran the tractor the more the water leaked out so when I got the tractor home dad suggested that take the radiator back off and we take it back to the shop and they said that they would put a new bottom on the radiator because that is where it is leaking from. I also have to buy a hose that goes from the carborator to the air filter and cleaner.
On April 2nd I was able to get my tractor running and driving. I was able to go and buy new cable and brought a big battery to the tractor. My mentor and I had to go and retime the transmission and mag needle so after we go that all re timed we hooked up the battery and fired her up and she ran like she did 15 years ago.
This last weekend I worked with my mentor on my tractor. We are able to just barely get the tractor to turn over and about to stay running. With my tractor you have to hand crank it to start it so since the parts are all new the cranking part was hard because everything was stiff. I am going to have to buy some new battery cables and then a battery and we will be able to start the tractor without cranking it. I also broke the elbow that is coming out of the carbonator so my dad is stopping in Mitchell today to pic up all the things I need and hopefully I can get it too run good this coming weekend.
On Friday the 17th I plan on going back over to Plankinton to work on the motor and to hopefully to get the old girl up and running again. We are going to have to work on getting the fly wheel timed right and then just going to have to put all the little parts back together and hopefully she will fire and will be alive again.
On March 10th I went back to work on my tractor. Matthew and I where able to the engine almost all the way put back together and got it put back into place in the tractor's frame. Then we stalled out because I forgot to take the pulley off of the old water pump and I don't have the radiator back yet but hopefully I get it back soon.
I plan on meeting with my mentor again on Sunday March 5,2017. I have just received all of my new parts that I need to put the motor back together. Putting the motor back together is going to be a challenge I think because we just have so many new parts going onto new parts that I think it will take a little force to get it back together but hopefully I am wrong and it goes smoothly.
After I got all my parts back to the shop in Plankinton I was able to sit down with Matthew and to think about what I all needed to order to be able to get my tractor running again. I had to order new piston rings, gasket set, upper radiator hose, clutch pad and water pump. In the end It costed 404 dollars and we have already paid 700 in a new block.
On the Monday we had no school 2 weeks ago I took up all of the parts I needed washed and took them too John's Service and he let me use his steam washer to clean the parts. I got up there at 8 and I had to use the washer for 3 loads because it wasn't the biggest washer there and it took about 30 for each loads so I was able to take my mag needle to Dale Winter to see if my mag needle was any good. After I got done with washing the tractor parts I was able to drop off the parts at Matthews shop in Plankinton.
